What deletion does

After the account deletion change in branch fix/store-server-compliance (commit 56a985f834379d88d005eeb44d150308440171c7) is deployed, deletion removes the Clerk account, profile and other personal account records, and push tokens. It asks Clerk to delete the profile image; if Clerk reports an image-deletion error, the server logs that failure and continues account deletion. Rows with optional user identifiers are anonymized or cleared, and records that require a user identifier are deleted. This description applies only after that branch is deployed.

Registration and waiver legal copies are copied to a separate retained legal record and kept for up to seven years after the event; the source registrations and answers are deleted, and a source waiver-acceptance row is deleted once no remaining registration refers to it. The retention copy contains event and registration details, answers, waiver text and hash, acceptance time, and signer name, and does not store the deleted user's account ID. The branch includes a manual purge procedure for records at the seven-year date; cleanup is not automatic and records may remain until that procedure is run.

The account deletion code does not delete group or court image objects from Cloudflare object storage or explicitly remove image uploader identity. The migration schema reviewed does not define uploader columns for these group or court image records.

Feed posts and messages authored by the deleted account are anonymized, with their text replaced by “[deleted]”. Direct-message threads remain with the deleted participant replaced by a tombstone identifier, while messages authored by the deleted user are anonymized. The other participant's own messages remain available. Group and group-image report rows remain with reporter account IDs cleared; report types, notes, or reasons are not cleared by the deletion statements. Messaging report rows remain with reporter IDs and evidence text cleared, and reported-user subjects are anonymized. DM report evidence rows are deleted when their snapshots identify the deleted author. Other content is anonymized where the schema permits and otherwise deleted when it has a required user identifier.

Ownership

If you are the only active owner or manager of a group or the only owner or administrator of an organization, league, season, or tournament, transfer ownership or contact support before requesting deletion. The server blocks deletion while sole ownership remains.
